Selling

Selling

We believe the real estate landscape has changed. Today’s technology has changed the way people buy and sell property. Consequently the role of the agent has also changed. An agent continues to play a vital role in the sale of your home, but in a completely different way than they did 30 years ago. At Venus Realty we fully embrace today’s technology and believe in a more modern approach to selling real estate, saving you thousands of dollars in commission and advertising costs.
Like Purplebricks we believe that the fees charged for selling and advertising by large branded agencies and many independents can no longer be justified. However Purplebricks business model is different. With Purplebricks you are required to pay their fee whether they sell your home or not. They also have extra charges for example, open homes. Apart from the cost of a professional photographer we do not require any other payment from you until your home is sold.
In a nutshell: Fixed fee $6,950 plus gst = $7,645. Administration fee at settlement of $149.00. Total cost payable to Venus Realty $7,794. Reminder: Photography is not included – allow $140 to $200 for images. Aerial images and floor plans are extra.
Absolutely not. We are a full service agency. We do exactly the same as our major competitors. Remember: It doesn’t matter how our competition package their product, we can assure you that when you open the box we’re exactly the same. In fact we think we’re better.

No. Our business model is based on cost effective, proven methods, which has provided excellent results over print media advertising for the past five years. We believe that people who live in Ipswich and the western suburbs, or are looking to purchase in these areas, embrace today’s technology. We acknowledge that print media does capture a small percentage of potential buyers, however we believe that the cost far outweighs the benefit, especially when you are asked to pay those hundreds, potentially thousands of dollars out of your own pocket. To provide you with an example. The current population of Ipswich is approximately 200,000 residents. The Property Guide produced by the Queensland Times on a Saturday prints approximately 10,300 copies each week. This in our view speaks volumes with regards to its value in today’s environment.
